GitHub App
The GitHub webhook handler can turn labeled GitHub issues into Terrace problems for installations that are already linked in the database. Connecting a new installation from the settings page is not available yet (the endpoint returns 501 until installation ownership verification exists). Syncing Terrace changes back to GitHub is not wired to any trigger.
Webhook Events
| Event | Action | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| issues | labeled | If the label matches the configured filter and auto_create_problems is on, creates a Terrace problem |
| issues | closed | Marks the linked Terrace problem as solved (links with sync enabled) |
| issue_comment | created | If sync_comments is on, adds the comment to the linked Terrace problem |
Sync Configuration
Webhook Endpoint
Environment Variables
| Variable | Description |
|---|---|
| GITHUB_WEBHOOK_SECRET | Webhook secret for HMAC verification |
General Setup Guide
1. Configure Environment Variables
Add the required environment variables for each integration you want to enable. These are read from the server environment.
2. Register Webhook Endpoints
Each platform requires you to register a webhook URL in their developer console:
3. Link User Accounts
Users connect their accounts via the settings page at /settings/integrations. Telegram, Discord, and Slack are linked by entering your account IDs on the integration page (Slack also has an OAuth install flow). GitHub linking is not available yet.
